Teresa Torchiano is a Brooklyn based filmmaker with a background in fine art, documentary film, education and nonprofit social justice work. She began her career in documentary film as First Assistant Editor on the film Trouble the Water (2008) which was nominated for an Academy Award and winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival. From there, she worked with Spitfire Pictures on various music documentaries before pursuing her own independent work. She currently runs her own production company in Brooklyn, NY specializing in short films and videos for nonprofit organizations, musicians, families and individuals.

She is available for freelance work in the United States and abroad.
